Tonight we gathered at the College Hill Church of Christ for Fort Worth Christian School's kindergarten graduation.
Jeb, our six year old, graduated after a wonderful year in Mrs. Whaley's classroom.
The program tonight included songs sung by all of the kindergarten children. Songs like "Blue Skies and Rainbows", "The Crayon Song", "Apple Red Happiness", "1 John 3:16", and the Fort Worth Christian School song.
When Jeb's name was called, he walked up to the principal, Dr. Sarah Schecter, and she said that his fruit of the Spirit was goodness, as chosen by Mrs. Whaley. Then Dr. Schecter told what each child wanted to be when he/she grew up. To laughter and applause, she said that Jeb wanted to be the president of the United States.
Besides our immediate family, Leslies parents were in attendance and Barry Jackson, a great friend of ours from College Station who stopped by on his way to Oklahoma City to see the Aggies play in the Big XII baseball tournament.
On the way home, all of us stopped at the nation's number one convenience store - QuikTrip - to get a celebratory drink. QuikTrip is superior to all others because of the drink selection including Rooster Booster, its quick service, the lack of problems with the pumps, and the cheapest gas.
Jeb says that as president the first two things he would do would be to "ask questions" and "help people."
Sounds like a good plan.

Jeb would make a fine president. Go with that!
Congratulations to Jeb on his kindergarten graduation and to mom and dad for making it this far! I like the way you start with a celebratory soda for kindergarten. I'm guessing by the time they graduate from A&M they'll get to eat a full meal at a restaurant. Great thinking...or was this just Leslie's way of getting a coke in a styrofoam cup with ice and a straw?!
I'd vote for him!!
