For kids, the car windows are a place for delight.
Tonight, on the way home from church, our family was divided between two cars. Guys with me. Girls together. We left after Leslie but soon were within eyesight of her. I pointed this out to Jeb who already had the car window down and his hair blowing in the wind.
We pulled up beside Leslie and Erin surprising them. Jeb screamed with delight waving his arm wildly excited that we caught them off guard. Then Jeb and Leslie yelled some gurgling words that were lost in the wind as we drove in tandem down Highway 377.
Jeb, Erin, and Caleb love to drive with the windows down. For a long time, we had a van that didn't allow this pleasure.
The other afternoon, Leslie was driving the children home from school and Jeb fell asleep with his head hanging out of the window.
There is a lot of fun to be had with a window that is rolled down.
